Alphonse Wright
SENIOR ORIGINATIONS MANAGER
Mr. Alphonse Wright recently retired from Mortgage Services, Inc. in Waterbury, CT. He has a proven background in sales and in corporate business. In addition to his eleven years as a mortgage broker, he did commercial real estate, financial planning for individuals and small businesses, marketed benefits to small businesses as well as marketed management development programs to Fortune 500 companies. On the corporate side, he has over twenty years of experience in human resources.
Mr. Wright has always been committed to giving back to the community. Hence, he has served on a number of inner city boards as well as the Connecticut State Board of Education. He received the Outstanding Board Leadership Award from Ralphola Taylor Community Center (YMCA) in Bridgeport. In Norwalk, he was Board Chairman of Excel, an organization to help at-risk student graduates from high school. Additionally, he served as Vice President of the Board at St. Lucy's Parochial School in Waterbury.
In New Britain, where Mr. Wright resides, he was asked to run for State Representative, and received a letter of recognition from President Bush, as well as letters of recognition from Governor M. Jodi Rell and Congresswoman Nancy Johnson for his willingness to represent his community and to be engaged in the political process. Currently, Mr. Wright is a Commissioner on the Connecticut African American Affairs Commission, Chairman of the New Britain Commission on Community Neighborhood and Development, Board Member of the New Britain Human Resources Agency, and a Trustee of his Church, McCullough Temple.
Mr. Wright is a graduate of Boston University and has two adult children who live out of state.
